DIGITAL ART
Welcome to Digital/Media Arts and a place where you will find resources as well as see student work and access notes from the lessons!
In this technologically driven course, students will take digital photos, make videos, create websites, create graphic designs, and follow their own passions within the digital media world, while also studying the work and techniques of the masters. With use of all Adobe programs and a plethora of digital and flip cameras, students will work in groups to produce projects and will also work on individually to create projects in many realms of digital design. Students will learn the basics of the digital camera, Photoshop, InDesign, PremierePro, Weebly, Dreamweaver, and Flash, as well as how to produce and upload their projects to the web to create their own online portfolio of work. Students will go on field trips to enrich their knowledge and to diversify the settings and inspirations for their work. Students do not need any prior experience but those who are more advanced will be able to focus on their own interests and motivations in more independently-driven projects. The amount of work outside of class will vary based on the project and each student’s own ambitions, but some work will need to be done outside of class each week in the production of non-campus centered projects.
